Epstein, Lionel. Born in Montreal on June 20, 1923, passed away at age 87 on July 28, 2010 at home in Toronto after a short illness. He was greatly loved and will be missed by his wife of 58 years, Barbara, who cared for him until the end. Beloved father of Joanna Epstein-Wassyng (David Wassyng), Warren Epstein and Barry Epstein. Dearly loved Papa of Seth Wassyng. Survived by his sister Freda Gasoi, niece Ellen Gasoi and nephew Howard Gasoi. A soft-spoken and modest man, Lionel worked well into his 80s as a chartered accountant and took pride in serving his clients honestly and well. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his Barbara. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Norman Golosky. On Saturday July 24th, in his 78th year, after a long and courageous struggle with several chronic illnesses, he passed away peacefully. He leaves behind a loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Ruth, two children, Lori Pine (Charles), and Irwin (Mindy) Golosky as well as his 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Jessica, Melissa, Mitchell, and Daniel, his two brothers Seymour (Madeleine) and Albert (Rebecca) Golosky and his sister Shirley (the late Sam Lipton). He is also predeceased by his parents Isaac and Pearl Golosky. A very special thank you to Dr. William Brien, of the Princess Margaret Hospital, for his unparallel devotion, compassion and expertise in Norman's care.
